Nicholas Kanhai

The poet Cyril Kanhai from Guyana was my grand father. His family mostly moved to Mississauga,Ontario in Canada during the 60s and 70s. My father, Errol Kanhai, met my mother, Francine Cote, married, and moved to a small town called Grand Falls in New Brunswick bringing myself and my brother along. I have had the fortune of seeing some of the poems written by my grand father, however, I had never been able to meet him, as he passed away before I was born. Since I was little I had a fascination with my past, and my grand father was one of the most interesting parts of it. For the past 5 years now, I have been asking questions and researching as much as I could about him and his works in Guyana... it was nice to see his name posted here.
Thank you,
Nicholas J. F. Kanhai
